JKUAT University- Did it lose its way after Japan withdrew funding?

JKUAT University began as a middle level college in 1983/84.

It has since grown in leaps and bounds and is now one of the most sought after Universities in Kenya. Its programs in IT and engineering, agriculture among others compete favorably with other Universities in Kenya. Early this year, it was selected as one of the five Universities in Africa to act as a campus for the pan African satellite University. The other campuses for the Pan African University are scheduled to be in South Africa, Cameroon, Nigeria and Algeria.
