Why do ladies shun engineering degree courses?

Many students regard engineering as a very hard profession.
It is also true that many people regard engineering as a man’s profession. This is not just the situation in Kenya, but rather the whole world. Engineering requires a strong aptitude in Math and the Sciences. In fact, former Harvard President Larry H. Summers lost his job for suggesting that the reason there were few top women in science and engineering had more to do with innate IQs of women. Women were enraged by this statement and eventually, Mr. Summers was kicked out by the board of Harvard University.
